Father Bradford preached this sermon at Mass on the Tenth Sunday after Trinity, August 8, 2021, at St Lawrence Church.
As Father said, “It is a great and sobering comfort to you and me, when we are at the end of our rope, and when we have profaned Christ Jesus, having pressed our lives to His Body and then lived in self-assertion and arrogance, that somewhere Christ’s Church, in whose body I am a member and you are a member, is offering the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, bread and wine are becoming the food and drink of our souls’ salvation, and we are connected to, and affected by, that offering, and all the benefits of the Bread of Life which will save us or convict us in the end.”
