In addition to our regular weekly schedule we often have seasonal events and special liturgies.
Ascension Day Vigil Mass, Wednesday, May 24th at 7:30 PM
Join us for a Solemn High Mass with Gregorian and Anglican chants as well as beautiful hymns for the Vigil of the Feast Day of the Ascension, a Holy Day of Obligation. The Divine Worship form of the Roman Rite, promulgated by the Vatican in 2015, restores traditions of English Catholicism and brings treasures from five hundred years of Anglican liturgical life to the Church’s Lex Orandi, all in reverent and beautiful “Prayer Book English.” A reception will follow this service.
We will sing the Regina Cæli during Eastertide
We sing the Regina Cæli (Queen of Heaven), an ancient Latin Marian Hymn, from Easter Day until the Saturday following Pentecost. After the Recessional Hymn ends, the clergy and servers return, go to the Lady Chapel, and we commence singing.
The leaflet insert with the complete song and prayer is here.
Sign up for Summer Altar Flowers
Our sign-up for summer altar flowers begins with Memorial Day weekend, with flowers needed for Sundays in June through September. You may bring arrangements from your garden or a florist. We require two larger arrangements for the high altar, or one or two smaller vases for the Marian altar, whichever you prefer. But be sure to sign up for a summer Sunday.
